Null Hypothesis (H₀): A statement that suggests there is no effect, relationship, or difference in the population or data being studied. It assumes that any observed differences are due to random chance. The null hypothesis is typically tested to see if it can be rejected.
Example: "There is no difference in test scores between students who use a study guide and those who do not."
Alternative Hypothesis (H₁): A statement that suggests there is a significant effect, relationship, or difference in the population or data. It is the hypothesis that researchers aim to support if evidence from the data rejects the null hypothesis.
Example: "Students who use a study guide score higher on the test than those who do n
ot."
Null Hypothesis is statistical hypothesis testing that assumes that the observations is due to a chance factor while Alternative hypothesis is the opposite of Null Hypothesis. It shows that observations are the result of a real effect.
