Type I error occurs when a true null hypothesis is incorrectly rejected (false positive), while Type II error happens when a false null hypothesis is incorrectly accepted (false negative).
- Type I Error (α): Rejecting the null hypothesis when it is true.
- Type II Error (β): Failing to reject the null hypothesis when it is false.
