Professional Forex Trading Program
The Professional Forex Trading Program (PFTP) is a comprehensive, structured training program designed to transform complete beginners into confident and disciplined forex traders. Through a progressive multi-level curriculum, students develop the knowledge, analytical skills, trading discipline, and practical experience required to navigate the global foreign exchange market.
The program combines self-paced learning, hands-on trading laboratories, chart analysis, quizzes, assignments, demo & live trading, journals, trading account performance analytics and capstone projects to ensure that students not only understand trading concepts but can also apply them in real market conditions. Participants will learn technical and fundamental analysis, risk management, trading psychology, strategy development, performance evaluation, and the fundamentals of quantitative and algorithmic trading.
Upon successful completion of each level, students earn a Quantalpha certification that recognizes their competency and progress. About the Mentor

The founder and lead mentor of Quantalpha Algorithms, the mentor is an algorithmic trading researcher, educator, and systems developer dedicated to advancing data-driven trading education through the integration of finance, engineering, and technology.
With a background in Industrial Engineering and extensive experience in quantitative analysis, operations research, optimization, and statistical modeling, he applies systems thinking and evidence-based decision-making to the financial markets. His work focuses on transforming discretionary trading concepts into objective, rule-based, and automated trading systems.
As an active developer of Expert Advisors (EAs) for MetaTrader 5, he specializes in strategy development, algorithmic trading, backtesting, optimization, risk management, and quantitative trading methodologies. He has conducted numerous researches published in different reputable journals on portfolio optimization, trading system evaluation, and the application of Markowitz Modern Portfolio Theory to algorithmic trading.
Beyond trading, he has authored and published academic research and is committed to making high-quality financial education accessible to aspiring traders. Through Quantalpha, he aims to bridge the gap between traditional trading education and professional quantitative trading by providing a structured curriculum that emphasizes analytical thinking, disciplined execution, and hands-on learning.

But if you will start at the middle of the program, it will be your advantage if you have prior trading knowledge and experience already.

The whole program primarily uses Metatrader 5 (MT5). Students will also be introduced to commonly used trading tools and market analysis platforms along the learning journey.
For beginners taking the lower level certifications, NO. We recommend that beginners start with a demo account to practice what they learn before risking real capital.
Some certification levels require live-account especially the capstone project on level 5.
